Vandalism hits the ground

SHORTLY after all the hard work the club had put in during the Cricket Force weekend and just before the start of the season, vandals hit the wicket.

Groundsman, Mark Sortwell, had put so much time and effort in getting the wicket prepared for the new season, that 'mindless idiots' decided to drive right across the square and turf up the outfield.

At one stage it looked as if we would not be ready for the new season, but the club rallied round and the first game took place.

The club would like to thank all those who helped get the ground ready for the new season, and would especially like to thank Mark for putting in extra hours to make the wicket playable.

Below are some pictures of the aftermarth of the incident.
