Over Stowey v Tarmac

Friendly

Match Abandoned, Tarmac 87-7 of 20 overs, Stowey 73-5 of 12

Stowey retain the Ray Poole Memorial Trophy

IN a game played in the great atmosphere it was only the rain that dampened peoples spirits, with Stowey poised to win, the heavens opened, and a honorable draw was declared, with Stowey retaining the trophy.

Tarmac batted first, and a gutsy performance saw them to 87-7 of their 20 overs. In reply Stowey lost quick wickets, but a hard hitting 35 from Kai Baker, and an undeafeted 22 from Ian Thomas saw Stowey to the brink, but the weather spoilt the occasion.

The club would like to thank all those who attended the game, Jason and Francis who helped organise the day, Ashley and Simon for the barbeque, Kelvin for the bar and Elsie for the magnificent teas.
