The latest news from Over Stowey
OSCC will be touring Hampshire and Sussex in 2008. They will leave Stowey on Thursday 24th July and travel to Fareham, where they will play local opposition. The full tour itinerary can be found by clicking on Tour 2008.
The club will play against two local sides on the Thursday and Friday, and will have a day of leisure on the Saturday, hopefully having a trip to the Rose Bowl to watch the 20/20 final.
CHARITY WEEKEND: On the 12th and 13th July a cricketing spectacular took place at the cricket gtound, with a mixture of cricket and fund raising, for the Marion Evered Trust and the cricket club.
On the Saturday, the 2nd XI played at home, and that was followed by a disco and barbecue in the evening. On the Sunday, a six a side competition took place, with Over Stowey taking on Tarmac for the Ray Poole Memorial trophy.
Also there was other side attactions, like a bouncy castle, skittles etc.

THE 2007 Fixtures for the West Somerset League have been published and can be viewed by clicking on the link for the 1st XI or 2nd XI. The 1st XI begin the season with a home match against Huish Champflower, who they also played in the opening game of last season. The 2nd XI start their season with an away match with West Monkton II, who finished 5th in Division 5 last year. Both teams begin their season on the 5th May. The 1st XI finish on 8th September with a home game against Bridgetown, who were relegated from Division 1 last year. The 2nd XI finish their season on 22nd September with an away match against Curry Rivel.

Since it was launched in November 2006, just 17 months ago, players, vice-presidents, sponsors and friends of OSCC have been able to access the very latest information concerning the club. This works out at nearly 600 hits per month!
